Summary

How Did the Balsamic Glazed Chicken Thighs meal turn out?

This dish had its pros and cons.

Pros:

  • Chicken was moist and flavorful
  • Broccoli had a crispy crunchy texture
  • Potatoes were very good
  • The balsamic sauce tasted good

Cons:

  • Some of the chicken skin was too hard and crackly to eat
  • It was just too “normal”

Prep and Cleanup

It was pretty easy to make, but the cleanup is definitely a chore.

Conclusion

I probably wouldn’t order it again. It was good, but not great. And more importantly, this was a meal I probably could have accomplished on my own without meal kit help. In fact, it reminded me of a TV dinner, pulled out of the freezer and popped into a microwave.

Ok, it wasn’t that boring, but the presentation had a strong resemblance to the pictures on the boxes of various frozen dinners I’ve seen.

If a dish feels like a “normal, every day kind of meal”, then I’m not all that interested in it, unless the flavor is off the chart great.

If you are a chicken and potatoes kind of person, you should try this meal.

For everyone else, hang on. More interesting meals coming shortly.
