Summary

This kind of meal didn’t really appeal to me when I ordered it, but I was curious. I’ve seen Rachel Ray and Giada De Laurentiis make Puttanesca meals before, and the word Puttanesca intrigued me. So honestly, that’s the only reason I tried this meal kit from Martha and Marley Spoon.

So Did I Like It?

Actually, I did! Gail liked it as well. And y’all, I really hate olives, so I fully expected to be fishing those out of my plate, but I didn’t need to. They blended in pretty well with the other flavors, so I ate most of them. Gail loves olives so I was kind enough to give her some of mine, LOL.

Looks Good Too

The colorful ingredients made this dish look as good as it tasted, so that made me happy. I like having a nice looking meal on the plate.

Now I know what a Puttanesca is!

P.S. One of the directions was to pound the chicken breasts. Well, I don’t own a pounder thingy. So I used one of the wooden spatulas Gail made me, and it made this wonderful “slapping” noise each time I whacked the chicken with it. It sucked at actually accomplishing the goal though. Nevertheless, my fake pounding didn’t seem to hurt the outcome of the dish any and I had fun slapping the chicken.
